Brief History

• Established in 1984 UBX Security Plc invented electronic scaffold security.

• UBX initially researched the use of off the shelf devices for scaffold security and found them individually and in-conbination to be unfit for the purpose.

• UBX therefore decided to design, develop and patent their own technology.

• UBX research had noted that standard microwave beam, whilst causing considerable problems on scaffold, gave the best cross sectional area of detection and gave rise to less problems than other off the shelf technology.

• UBX therefore set about developing their own technology along similar lines, however with the aim of rectifying all of the problems associated with standard microwave technology.

• This gave rise to the Unique Band X microwave that is used today. This technology has now been used to protect thousands of sites for hundreds of blue-chip companies without one incident in which the technology has been compromised.
