 Off-the-shelf Infra-red systems...
typically provide only a pencil thin beam between the transmitter and receiver.The beam can be easily avoided.

Detection field tailored to scaffold dimensions only

Large field area - minimum 1m high by 1m wide

  • protects all access points.
  • cannot be climbed over or around.
  • Not activated by pedestrians.
  • Will not penetrate windows and affect business machines.
  • Not activated by the elements or birds or small animals.
  • Not activated by debris or netting etc.

Warning!
This scaffold is not properly protected.

An intruder may step over the infrared beam or climb the side of the scaffold which is not protected.

Combinations of multiple Infra-red detectors can improve the coverage but they are not specifically designed for the task and fail to provide the impenetrable coverage of the UBX system.
